Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday urged the people of Gujranwala to secure the city clocktower in a swipe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's Toshakhana controversy.
Maryam took the potshot at the PTI chairman while speaking to journalists. "I hear the long march has now reached Gujranwala for the day," she said. The PML-N said the denizens of the city were learned, wise and politically-savvy. Warning citizens against Imran's antics, she urged them to secure the city landmark since a man infamous for taking away watches was in their midst.
Imran earlier said on Tuesday the party was bringing about a nationwide revolution. The PTI chairman made the comments while sharing footage of those having flocked to the party’s long march to Islamabad on micro-blogging site Twitter as it moved on via Gujranwala.
