In a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, Asad Ali Toor said that the current rulers have decided not to accept the verdict of the three-member bench of the Supreme Court.
The journalist said that the chief justice became emotional while hearing the plea of Pakistan Tehree-e-Insaf (PTI) challenging the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision to postpone elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Why did he not show his emotions when the wife of Justice Qazi Faez Esa, Mrs. Sareena Esa, cried in court due to the harsh words and expressions of Justice Muneeb Akhtar?" he questioned.
He also said that the same question had been asked by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) leader Ataullah Tarar on Twitter.
The journalist also read out the remarks of Justice Muneeb Akhtar, which he expressed while hearing the case against Justice Esa and her wife. He mentioned that Mrs. Sareena Esa went into tears on the rostrum of the court. She was an academician and a sort of hose wife who was not skilled to handle judges in the court, due to which she succumbed to the pressure and started crying while giving arguments, he added.
He added that Justice Esa tried to assist her wife and come to the forefront to elaborate on the point of view of her wife. Upon this, Justice Muneeb remarked, "No one should guide me on how to conduct court proceedings". "I am an expert in law; this is why I am the judge of this court," he stated.
The journalist claimed that Chief Justice Bandial has become emotional when demands are being raised for the trial of Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, but he himself conducted the trial of Justice Esa at the behest of then-prime minister Imran Khan and then-ISI chief Lt Gen (retired) Faiz Hameed.
