Talking to The Friday Times (TFT), one of the officials who is privy to this development said that Dr. Yasmin Rashid is accused of accepting bribes in parking, canteen, and cleaning contracts of PIC.
"Executive Director PIC Dr Bilal Mohiuddin and Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Muhammad Tehseen are accused of giving millions of rupees to Dr. Yasmin Rashid and bearing her personal expenses from PIC funds," the official said.
Sources from ACE said that ACE Punjab has also summoned Dr Bilal Mohiuddin and MS Dr. Muhammad Tahseen along with Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS) Purchases Dr. Shakeel.
Sources maintained that AMS Store Pharmacy Dr. Masood Nawaz has also been summoned along with Dr Rashid on behalf of ACE.
"They are accused of causing a loss of more than one billion rupees to the government exchequer by purchasing stunts at high prices in the central purchases contract," a senior official said.
It is further alleged that the accused have taken huge commissions in the purchase of stunts and also bought the equipment used in the bypass operation at high prices by violating the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules this financial year.
Sources maintained that the PIC administration is also accused of stealing goods worth millions of rupees from the PIC store, including cardiac batteries.
Speaking to TFT, MS PIC Dr Muhammad Tehseen said that two of our AMS and a law officer will visit ACE tomorrow as we have only received a notice from them and we are not aware of the concerns and allegations against us.
"We have awarded every contract on merit and every purchase was made on merit as per the SOPs," he maintained.
MS said that he will be able to comment on it in detail after officially receiving the details of the charges against us.
"We haven’t given any money to Dr Yasmin Rashid nor born her personal expenses from PIC funds and these are baseless allegations," he concluded.
