Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani was hearing the case on Wednesday at the time of the incident.
All accused in the Noor Mukadam case were present on the occasion. The suspects include Zahir, his parents, Zakir Jaffer and Asmat Adamjee, their three household help, Iftikhar, Jan Muhammad and Jameel, and six Therapy Works staffers, identified as Tahir Zahoor, Amjad, Dilip Kumar, Abdul Haq, Wamiq and Samar Abbas.
When the hearing commenced, Zahir shouted the name Hamza, directed at no one. The judge was irked and directed police officials to take Zahir out of the court, but the accused hid behind the door.
Later, he interrupted the proceedings once again and demanded he be heard, saying that it was his court and his wants to say something.
He said that everything he has is at stake and then used abusive language against the judge, calling the court 'nothing but dirt'. He also said that the court was 'dragging' the case as he has already given an opportunity to hang him. "This is all a puppet show," he said and added that he had never seen more incompetent people in a room before.
"Everything of mine is at stake. Such an activity will be a sign of an unsuccessful state," he claimed.
The judge asked the police officials to take him away and said that he was staging a 'drama'. When the police got up to take him away, Zahir attacked inspector Mustafa Kiani by grabbing him by the collar. The accused had to be dragged outside the court, a video of which has gone viral on social media.
