Newly elected Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will pay a visit to Gwadar on Tuesday, which has been battered by heavy rains.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will travel to Gwadar on March 5 (tomorrow) after assuming oath and will visit the rain-affected districts.
The Prime Minister will also evaluate relief efforts and offer a relief package for victims.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem, Corps Commander of the Balochistan Corps, paid a visit to the affected districts to examine the conditions and provide assistance to the flood victims.
His visit was intended to personally analyze the situation and provide assistance to the worried flood victims.
Accompanied by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar Division, the Corps Commander had vital discussions with local officials and community leaders to better understand the problems facing the impacted population.
The Pakistan Army, Navy, PDMA, and other organizations are performing rescue and relief efforts in Gwadar, with reports that 75 percent of the water has been evacuated.
"Water extraction is still going on right now. People have been relocated to safer areas away from residential areas where water has accumulated," a PDMA spokesperson stated.
"Free medical facilities have also been set up in Gwadar with the assistance of the Pakistan Army and district administration," he said.
