On Sunday 4 November, the PML Q Chief Minister of Punjab Pervez Elahi met with a delegation of scholars under the leadership of Maulana Muhammad Taqi Usmani, president of Al-Madaris al-Arabiya.

Elahi went on to state how upon becoming Chief Minister, the first thing he did was to restore the Quran Board to achieve unity in the nation by 'attracting' students to religion as a means of creating a nation.
