According to the victim M*, she was at the park with a male colleague when two armed men intercepted them.
They then took them to the nearby trees and separated the two, before subjecting the woman to the heinous act. The victim was also tortured during her ordeal.
The incident reportedly took place on Thursday night. Police are investigating the incident, with initial probe suggesting an incident of the sort at the park.
'Incident being probed'
Meanwhile, Islamabad Capital Police responded to the reports, saying a special unit of the sexual crime department is probing the incident.
The investigation, it maintained, is being supervised by CPO Operations Sohail Zafar Chatta. Police said park's administration and those present at the site on the day of the incident are being questioned.
"DNA samples of suspects are also being acquired in view of the alleged assault," the LEA maintained.
Police subsequently checked some 3,000 vehicles of the same colour, but couldn’t spot the one used in the incident.
Police further said that it was in the process of collecting evidence in light of the camera footage and intelligence.
The LEA vowed to nab the culprits involved in the heinous act and bring them to justice.

Earlier today, police claimed to have arrested the accused behind the brutal murder of a young female tiktoker.
The body of the model, Sneha Gul, was found from Kahina, Punjab on Dec 3, 2022. She was drugged and taken to the said area and shot seven times by her friend when she asked him to marry her.
Superintendent Police Aftab Phularwan told media persons that the LEA had been on the hunt for a grey car after spotting it on the CCTV camera near the scene of the crime.

After a passage of 18 days, police succeeded in identifying the girl with the help of her fingerprints, and her phone call data led them to the killer.
The Glock pistol as well as the car used during the murder have been confiscated and sent for forensics.
According to the officer, the man involved in the murder will be prosecuted and punished as per law.
