After being hit numerous times in the previous several days, the main water supply in the Jabalia refugee camp was destroyed by Israeli shelling on Saturday, according to Al Jazeera.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, around thirty assistance trucks arrive in Gaza every day, which experts claim is insufficient to address the needs of the Palestinian people. Despite this, the region is experiencing a horrific humanitarian catastrophe.
Meanwhile, Israel has persisted in attacking UN buildings, hospitals, and refugee camps on the grounds, claiming that Hamas militants have been hiding inside and using Palestinian civilians as human shields.
Israel also bombarded Al-Azhar University in Gaza, according to a video that Palestine's deputy foreign minister, Amal Jadou, uploaded on X.
Al Jazeera reports that the institution was bombed early on Saturday.
The Gaza Health Ministry said that in the middle of the continuing battle between Israel and Hamas, over thirty Palestinians were slain in an Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp in central Gaza late on Saturday.
"More than 30 (dead) arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah in the massacre committed by the occupation in Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip," health ministry spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a statement.
Hamas said in a Telegram message that Israel had "directly" struck civilian homes, noting that women and children made up the majority of the casualties.
"My house next door partially collapsed after an Israeli air strike targeted my neighbours' house in Al-Maghazi camp," reported Mohammed Alaloul, a 37-year-old journalist for the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
Alaloul disclosed that his brother was among the slain victims of the assault, along with his 13-year-old son Ahmed and his 4-year-old son Qais. According to AFP, his mother, wife, and two other kids suffered injuries.
According to a spokesman for the Israeli military, investigations were underway to determine whether the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) had been present in the region during the incident.
