Ahmadi Man Murdered In Rawalpindi By Assailant Wielding Axe

Ahmadis continue to face violence at the hands of extremists. On Thursday, a member of the Ahmadi community, Tayyab Ahmad, was killed in broad daylight in Rawalpindi for his faith by an assailant who allegedly used an axe to carry out the attack.

According to a press release issued by the Ahmadiyya press office, the 40-year-old Tayyab was visiting his brother in Rawalpindi, and at the time of the attack, he was at his brother’s business place, where he was fatally struck. During the assault, the assailant reportedly kept shouting, “I have warned you Qadianis to leave this place.”

Just a few days ago, miscreants had attacked his brother’s shop by throwing stones at it and had issued constant threats. Tayyab’s brother had been receiving ongoing threats and had recently moved his family out of Rawalpindi for safety.

“The Ahmadiyya community continues to suffer at the hands of extremists, with no accountability for the culprits. These incidents tarnish the name of our beloved Pakistan. The government must take immediate action to end the hate speech and violence against the community,” the statement read.
