Punjab Cabinet Ministers To Take Oath Today

A member of the Sikh community will be appointed minister for the first time in the Punjab government.

The Punjab cabinet ministers will take their oath today (Wednesday). 

The oath-taking ceremony will take place in the Governor's House. 

The Punjab cabinet ministers' swearing-in arrangements have been arranged. The event will take place at 4 p.m. 

Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman will administer the oath to the provincial ministers. In the first phase, 25 ministers and special assistants will join the government of Punjab. 

According to reports, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif approved the names of the cabinet ministers. 

According to sources, Marriyum Aurangzeb will serve as the provincial minister. She will also be the Minister of Planning and Development, the Environment, and the Forest Department.

Azma Zahid Bukhari will be appointed the Minister of Information and Culture. Ashiq Hussain Kirmani will be appointed Minister of Agriculture, Kazim Pirzada will be in charge of the Irrigation Department, and Rana Sikandar Hayat will be allocated the Ministry of Primary Education. Chaudhry Shafey Hussain will be assigned the Ministry of Industries Department. 

A member of the Sikh community will be appointed minister for the first time in the provincial government. Ramesh Singh Arora is slated to receive the Ministry of Minority Affairs. 

Similarly, Tahir Khalil Sindhu will be in charge of the Human Rights Ministry, Sher Ali Gorchani of Mines and Minerals, Khawaja Salman Rafiq of Specialized Health, Khawaja Imran Nazir of Primary and Secondary Health, Zeeshan Rafiq of Local Government, and Malik Sohaib Ahmad Berth of the Ministry of Communications.

Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has approved the appointment of cabinet members in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). 

According to reports, Khan highlighted the need for representation from all areas, including Peshawar, in the government. 

He personally recommended seven candidates for cabinet positions, with the other seats to be filled at the choice of the chief minister. 

Initially, the cabinet will consist of ten ministers, three advisers, and three special assistants, with the goal of ensuring a broad and inclusive representation of provincial interests. 

This decision was taken after a meeting between Imran Khan and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Adiala Prison.

According to sources, Taimur Saleem Jharga would most likely be appointed finance minister. 

Similarly, Meena Khan, Fazal Khan, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Khaleequr Rehman, and Zahir Shah Toru are expected to join the government.
