A purported audio call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Syed Samsam Bukhari has been circulating on social media in which he is spilling beans about the May 9 riots that erupted across the country after the arrest of party chief Imran Khan in a corruption case.

Bukhari said that after the detention of Imran Khan in May, a core committee meeting was held in which Qasim Suri, Sheharyar Afridi, and Murad Syed were present. During the phone conversation, he stated that Murad is the worst person. In a meeting, they decided to stage protests against the army.

He said that, fortunately, he was not present in the core committee meeting, and he has good ties with Yasmeen Rashid. He said that he had an idea that they would create chaos in the country.

Bukhari said that Shafqat Mehmood is an intelligent person, and he advised the party leaders not to stage a protest at the core commander's house. After saying this, Shafqat started his car and returned to his home, he added.
