Christian Security Guard Threatened With Blasphemy Case Just For Doing Her Job

In a video circulating on social media, a female security official is heard asking an unidentified male why he threatened her with a blasphemy case when she prevented his car from passing. According to sources, the female security personnel is a Christian and works at the Karachi airport.

The female security official is audibly irate as to why the man would even bring up the issue of blasphemy, saying she will not allow his vehicle to pass unless he apologizes of registers the case he threatened her with.

Pakistan's blasphemy laws are routinely misused and explored for petty vendettas and to exact revenge against upstanding non-Muslim citizens of Pakistan. Recent trends of intolerance and extremism have further marginalized the minority communities in the Muslim-majority country.
