Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodriguez will reportedly be able to live together in Saudi Arabia after the possible tweak in the marriage laws that prohibit non-married couples from living together.

The 37-year-old iconic footballer joined Saudi Arabia-based Al Nassr after his exit from the Manchester United last month.

The Portuguese star will avail luxurious amenities such as a villa and an annual income of $75 million in the country.

According to SPORT, Ronaldo and Rodriguez will be able to 'break the law' when in the country and will not be penalised by the authorities.

Spanish news agency EFE cited two Saudi lawyers as suggesting that the authorities aren't likely to take notice of the footballer's relationship.

"The Saudi Arabian authorities, today, do not interfere in this matter [in the case of foreigners] but the law continues to prohibit cohabitation outside of marriage," the publication quoted a legal expert as saying.

None of the two sides, however, have so far made any official remarks to this effect.

The ex-Man United forward reached the agreement in Dec last year to display his performance to a new crowd.

Despite a move to Al-Nassr first being reported at the end of Nov, CBS Sports had revealed that the delay in the announcement came after no other serious suitors came to the fore from Europe and beyond.

While Ronaldo may not be playing Champions League football for now, he will be well remunerated and will, of course, wield a noticeable power at the new club.

He would also be made an ambassador by the same club after his playing career ends in year 2024.
