The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary, Omar Hamid Khan, has resigned from his position due to medical issues.
According to the sources, CEC Sikandar Sultan has not yet accepted Khan's resignation as the electoral body's secretary.
The revelation comes only a few weeks before the February 8 general elections, amid complaints of a lack of a fair playing field by important political parties including the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
