PTI leader Aleem Khan has reportedly been approached by senior leadership of the PML-N and the Jahangir Tareen Group as the opposition continues to plan its no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sources disclosed to Geo TV that Aleem Khan is also slated to meet with members of the Jahangir Tareen group on Monday, with the estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader phoning in via video link from London where he is receiving medical care.  The group is scheduled to discuss a joint political strategy from within the PTI, specifically in case the opposition brings its no-confidence motion.

Furthermore, in the last month, Aleem Khan has reportedly made contact with over 40 Punjab MPAs, including 10 ministers.

PTI has recently attempted to make amends with Jahangir Tareen, with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reporting that the prime minister had called Tareen to inquire as to his health in a 'goodwill gesture'.

The premier also met with key members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), including Pervaiz Elahi. During that meeting, Elahi insisted that the prime minister was 'not worried at all' about efforts to oust his government and that the two had not discussed the opposition's no-trust motion.

The opposition, too, has thawed previously frosty relationships with various groups. Jahangir Tareen reportedly held a ‘secret meeting‘ with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the ouster of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
