Shah Muhammad Shah has been appointed as the vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the party announced on Tuesday.
on the other hand, Bashir Memon, the former director-general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), was named president of the PML-N in Sindh.
The party has published an official announcement in this respect.
"In exercise of powers conferred to President PML-N under Article 13(b) of the Constitution of the party, President PML-N is pleased to nominate Mr. Bashir Memon as Provincial President of Pakistan Muslim League-N Sindh with immediate effect," said a statement issued by the PML-N.
Previously, after joining the party, Memon was appointed convenor of the Sindh reception committee, which was constituted and entrusted with welcoming PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on October 21.
On September 29 of this year, the ex-government employee joined the PML-N.
The ex-FIA chief was previously designated chairperson of the PML-N Sindh's 12-member committee, formed by the party's senior vice president, Maryam Nawaz, to welcome Nawaz Sharif back home next month.
Memon was accused of assisting a suspect wanted for financial crimes in another country and of neglecting to investigate the person's money laundering claims. However, in April of last year, the Sessions Court acquitted the former FIA chief.
