Hum News has admitted its mistake and issued a clarification regarding quoting the statement of caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi, which he expressed on another private news channel.
While talking on a program with anchorperson Gharidah Farooqi, the minister stated that "peaceful protest is a right of the public, but the constitution does not allow staging a violent protest."
On August 28, Hum News released a digital poster related to the above-mentioned statement of the minister in which the word "peaceful’ was missing, and it gave the perception that the minister said that protests are not allowed.
Hum News has admitted its mistake and issued a clarification in this regard.
