Earlier on Thursday, Gul alleged that Imran Khan had misused her videos involving former NAB chairperson Justice (r) Javed Iqbal to have his cases closed and blackmail his opponents. Gul claimed that after filing a complaint against Iqbal on the Prime Minister's Portal, she was called up to the Prime Minister's House by then-principal secretary Azam Khan. Promising her justice, she said they took her phone and aired the videos without her permission after two days. Subsequently, they put her and her husband in the Prime Minister’s House for one and a half months, she said, adding that after the videos were released, NAB did not arrest the PTI leaders and closed their cases.
Commenting on the news, a social media user, Hajra Waseem tweeted: “Javed Iqbal harassed [the] wife of [a] missing person and Tayyaba Gul who complained to the NAB. When Tayyaba Gul complained of harassment to Imran Khan [,] instead of giving justice to her, he blackmailed [the NAB] chairman to target [the] opposition. #ArrestImranKhan.”
Another user, Daniel, replied to a tweet and said: “Shehbaz Sharif as PM should take action against Javed Iqbal for sexual harassment and blackmailing a woman, while Imran [Khan] and Azam khan for fraud, blackmailing and keeping Tayaba Gul and her husband in PM house against their will in incommunicado.”
