In the meeting, there was an open discussion on all related issues, including economic anxiety, mistrust, and political instability, while Finance Minister Ishaq Dar brought the business community on board with the IMF's programme. According to the sources, the army chief gave a message to the business community that "There are definitely problems, but not all is bad in Pakistan; together we will get the country out of the problems and fight till the end." While Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the program with the IMF has been facing serious difficulties and is now close to reaching a staff-level agreement with the IMF after making difficult decisions, an agreement is expected to be reached this week.

"We faced difficulties in the past too, but we successfully came out of those difficulties; God willing, we will get out of this difficulty as well," he added.
