Pakistan on Saturday voiced concern over the most recent Israel-Palestine crisis as Hamas conducted the largest onslaught in years against the Israeli army.

The outbreak of hostilities between Israel and the Palestinians is being closely watched by us, according to a statement from the Foreign Office.

As its liberation warriors crossed into Israel earlier today, the Palestinian organization Hamas, which governs the Gaza Strip, began firing a barrage of rockets against Israel from the moment daybreak broke.

According to the most recent death toll provided by Israeli doctors, at least 44 people have died as a result of the violence in Israel, while more than 190 Palestinians have died in retaliatory assaults.

The Foreign Office urged the international community to work together to put a stop to the hostilities, saying, "We are concerned about the human cost of the escalating situation."

The international powers should "come together for the cessation of hostilities, the protection of civilians, and for a lasting peace in the Middle East," the ministry's statement continued.

With a just, comprehensive, and long-lasting solution to the Palestinian issue rooted in international law and in accordance with pertinent United Nations and OIC resolutions, Pakistan has always argued for a two-state solution as the route to permanent peace in the Middle East.

The statement went on to say that Al Quds Al-Sharif should serve as the capital of a viable, independent, and contiguous state of Palestine based on the pre-1967 boundaries.

Interim Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar stated in a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was pained by the rising bloodshed in the Middle East and that it underlined the urgent need to "address the Palestine Question."

"We call for prudence and the safeguarding of people. A two-state solution based on pre-1967 boundaries, with Al Quds Al-Sharif at its center, and a viable, contiguous, independent State of Palestine is necessary for the Middle East to experience lasting peace.

Ending Israel's unlawful occupation, settlement growth on Palestinian territory, and mistreatment of innocent Palestinians, according to former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, is essential for regional peace, justice, and prosperity. I'm not shocked by what happened today. When Israel continues to deny the Palestinians' genuine right to self-determination and statehood, what else is there to expect?

What else is there after daily provocations, assaults by settlers and occupying troops, and incursions on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Christian and Muslim holy places?

He asserted that for there to be lasting peace, the occupation of Palestinian territory must stop, the state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital must be recognized, and the Palestinian people's claim to independence and sovereignty must be upheld.

What else, after daily provocations, attacks by occupation forces and settlers, and raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque and other holy sites of Christianity and Islam?"

He said the world must recognize that durable peace requires ending the occupation of Palestinian land, recognizing the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, and upholding Palestinians' right to independence and sovereignty.
