National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser Announces Resignation After Refusing To Hold Voting
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser announced his resignation after expressing his refusal to hold voting on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that he has seen the letter proving a 'foreign conspiracy' against the government and suggested that the no-trust motion was part of the same conspiracy.

"I have been an aide of Imran Khan for 30 years," he said, while refusing to hold the voting. He tendered his resignation while addressing the National Assembly, and asked PML-N's Ayaz Sadiq to assume the responsibility of the speaker. Ayaz Sadiq took over as the speaker and paid tribute to Ayaz Sadiq for 'gracefully' announcing his resignation. The initial process of voting has now begun.
