Written by Adarsh Ayaz, the series has been directed by Yasra Rizvi. The show will air on the new channel on Tuesday, July 11, at 9 pm.

Produced by Q&K Productions in association with Multiverse Entertainment, 'Shanaas' features a talented ensemble cast led by the versatile Hajra Yamin in the lead role of Aneesa.
Accompanying her are veteran actors, including Sania Saeed, Shamim Hilaly, Arez Ahmed, Shahzad Nawaz, Adnan Shah Tipu, Adnan Jeelani and Kashif Hussain, who add depth to their respective characters.

Plot
'Shanaas' revolves around the journey of Aneesa who finds out that her whole life has been a lie and the people whom she loved as parents are not her biological parents. She then sets off on a quest to discover her true identity and find where she truly belongs. The story unravels old secrets and tests the unbreakable bonds of family. Depicting the character's journey of self-discovery, resilience and growth. With 'Shanaas', viewers will get an understanding of healing, promising an epic narrative of redemption.
Yasra Rizvi, a director known for her unique storytelling approach, adds, "No doubt family drama is a staple narrative in our part of the world, but I do believe its under-explored, the relationships of married couples in their 50s, for instance, can't they be messy?"

Green Entertainment was launched earlier this year and aimed to break the duopoly of Hum TV and Geo Entertainment at the top of the entertainment pack.
In this regard, it has followed the footsteps of its more illustrious competitors by focusing on original and what it believes is revolutionary and believable content for television.
The channel also hopes to start its official transmission on Monday, July 10, 2023.
