The resolution was tabled by State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
Addressing the parliament during its session today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was critical over Khan's anti-army rhetoric, saying if he continues such "aggressive speeches" against state institutions, it could lead to anarchy.
“You were a favorite of this institute and fed like a baby for three and a half years,” he said. “This core institution has never supported any of the previous prime ministers the way it did Imran Khan Niazi.”
“It is unfortunate of him that despite all that support, he didn’t learn, perform or deliver to the nation,” Shehbaz Sharif added.
He urged the lower house to take action to control the 'tone' of the deposed prime minister, terming Khan's statements in Abbottabad 'anti-state narrative' and a 'conspiracy against Pakistan'.
