Ousted: Imran Khan No Longer PM As No-Trust Motion Succeeds After Late-Night Voting

The no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan has succeeded, leading to his ouster as the leader of the House and the country's PM. Acting speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced that 174 members voted in favour of the no-confidence motion.

The session of the National Assembly was presided over by Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) leader Ayaz Sadiq after erstwhile speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser announced his resignation after expressing his refusal to hold voting on the no-trust motion.

After the voting, PPP members chanted slogans of 'ek Zardari sab pe bhaari'.

Imran Khan was not present in the session of the assembly. Imran Khan left the PM House for his Bani Gala home while the voting was taking place.

Opposition leaders have reacted to the success of the no-trust motion, terming it good news for Pakistan.
