Sources close to the matter told Geo News that Aleem plans to discuss future cooperation with the Tareen group and a joint plan of action now that the opposition has finally submitted its no-confidence motion.
The two PTI leaders are also reportedly discussing whether to combine forces and form a larger political alliance in the next general elections. Both groups have maintained they will not merge with any party, for now.
Aleem Khan is also said to meet with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. The Aleem Khan Group and the PML-N to field a joint candidate in the event that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar is removed or decides to leave his position.
Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen are both in London seeking medical treatment. Tareen arrived last month, while Sharif has been in the United Kingdom since late 2019.
