According to a report by Geo News, sources within the party have revealed that Nawaz Sharif has called for an urgent meeting with PML-N leadership to discuss some issues he has reservations on.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to leave for London tonight, with federal ministers Marriyum Aurangzeb and Ahsan Iqbal to follow tomorrow. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is already present in London.
According to party sources, the former prime minister rejected the proposal to have an online meeting, because he had some serious reservations over some important issues, regarding which PML-N is expected to make a 'big decision'.
The sources also shared that discussions regarding the best strategy to adopt regarding petroleum prices will also be held with Nawaz Sharif and former finance minister Ishaq Dar.
During the meeting, they will also deliberate over and make decisions pertaining to other important topics, such as power-sharing with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) coalition government, the Punjab cabinet that will now have to be formed now that the Punjab governor has been removed, as well as matters regarding the next general election.
