As the political temperature rises, estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Aleem Khan has reportedly met with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif in London to discuss the latest political developments in Pakistan.

According to sources privy to the meeting, Aleem Khan arrived at Sharif's London residence at 6pm in the evening and stayed for three hours. The pair reportedly discussed the opposition's no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and possible in-house change in Punjab.

During the meeting, Aleem Khan reportedly told Nawaz Sharif how he had been mistreated by his own party for the last three years. Sources indicated that Khan may join the PML-N, following earlier reports that the two camps may field a joint candidate in the event that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar is removed or decides to leave his position

On Thursday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had said that PTI lawmakers who side with the opposition during the vote of no confidence could be disqualified.

The meeting between the two was arranged by PML-N Punjab President Raan Sanaullah, sources added.

Aleem Khan arrived in London earlier this week to also meet with fellow estranged PTI leader Jahangir Tareen. The two PTI leaders will reportedly discuss whether to combine forces and form a larger political alliance in the next general elections. Both groups have maintained they will not merge with any party, for now.

Tareen is in London seeking medical are, as is Nawaz Sharif.
