Afghanistan has highlighted the need for improving ties with Pakistan, stating that healthy relations with all of its neighbors are essential.

The Afghan government's spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, has urged Pakistan's newly elected government to be flexible in its approach regarding Afghan refugees.

He said, "First, the Islamic Emirate has always desired positive ties with all of its neighbors, including Pakistan, where a fresh government has formed." Afghanistan also requires stable ties with Pakistan," he added.

"We want Pakistan to make positive strides in multiple fields with Afghanistan and ask the future government to address all its issues," said the spokesperson.

Last year, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar's interim administration announced plans to deport 1.1 million foreigners unlawfully living in the country.

Afghanistan's Acting Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund also called for a halt to what he described as the "cruel attitude of the Pakistan government" toward Afghan refugees, adding that such moves increased issues rather than resolving concerns.

"We ask them to show some flexibility regarding Afghan refugees. They have been hosting migrants for a long time, and now they should examine Afghanistan's relations with Pakistan till the migrants return," Mujahid added.

He also urged Pakistan to focus on a number of challenges, including developing partnerships, tackling Afghan commercial obstacles, and Durand Line concerns.
