In a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, Toor said that the formation of a full-court bench will confirm that ice is melting between CJP Bandial and Justice Isa; otherwise, this meeting will also be non-productive, just like the meetings held before.
Toor claimed that CJP Bandial needs the support of senior judges because a session of the Judicial Council of Pakistan (JCP) is scheduled to be held in the coming days. Moreover, two vacancies are vacant for the post of Supreme Court judges, and CJP Bandial needs the support of members of JCP for this to achieve consensus on names.
He said that CJP Bandial is in the minority at JCP, adding that other members are Justice Isa, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) members, the law minister, and the attorney general. He claimed that CJP Bandial has just two votes in the JCP: his own and one of Justice (retired) Usmani.
He said that division among the judiciary occurred because CJP Bandial didn’t bother to get Justice Isa and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood in the loop while dealing with major cases.
The journalist revealed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has launched a paid campaign against Justice Isa for his participation in the convention that marked the 50th anniversary of the constitution.
He said that it is the nature of PTI chief Imran Khan that he first unleashes a brutal campaign against those he dislikes and later bows down before them, adding that he did the same thing with Army Chief General Asim Munir. Imran Khan went to an extreme extent to resist the elevation of General Asim Munir as the army chief, and for that purpose, he was willing to give a life extension to former army chief General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa, he added. "Now that General Asim is finally the arm chief, Imran Khan is requesting a meeting with him and is willing to bow wholeheartedly.
Toor suggested Imran Khan limit the campaign against Justice Isa because he will bow down before him in the future while following his legacy.
