Science And Arts Exhibition Held At Abbottabad GPGC

Dr. Muhammad Aftab, BS Coordinator of GPGC Abbottabad who was an organiser of the event while talking about the objective of the activity spoke about how it was aimed to bring out the hidden talents of the students through different models, projects and other creative work.




The students were excited to brief the participants about their models covering history, philosophy, science, environment, space, video games, culture and arts.




Talking to the The Friday Times, a BSc student at the college, Madeeha, who seemed very excited by the arrangements said, “We are having a great time, by making different models we wanted to show our masterpieces. The activity will definitely develop and improve our creativity and will help us understand scientific knowledge in the truest sense.” she said.


Saqib and his classmate Irshad displayed an ancient Silk Trade Route model and enthusiastically briefed everyone who visited their showcase. “Through this stall, we want to show the different periods of History to the visitors and inform people about the importance of silk route”. They stated.


Kanwal Naveed, a one of the winner of the activity from the Department of History displayed designed model on History of Muslims Contributions to Science and Technology. She told that her model depicts that work should be done on science and technology as it heirs were Muslims.


Prof Yunus Mahsud, chairman department of the History told this correspondent on the occasion that this was a real learning opportunity for students. He congratulated the organisers and asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa higher education department to arrange more of such practical events as an ongoing process so that the students take keen interest in studies and not get bored in learning.


Other participants said that such activities should be held regularly. The exhibition also attracted a large number of people to see and enjoy the science models, culture heritage all prepared by students of Government Postgraduate College Abbottabad.
