Karachi police have arrested the principal of a private school in Orangi Town on suspicion of attempting to rape a matriculation student and abusing her when she refused.
According to police officials, the incident took place inside the jurisdiction of the Iqbal Market police station. The principal allegedly called the student to his office and attempted to sexually abuse her.
When the student refused, she was physically assaulted.
The victim returned home and told her sister about the incident that occurred. Based on this information, the sister filed a complaint at the Iqbal Market police station. Following that, a case was filed against the principle.
Further investigation found that the principal had first sent unethical communications to the student over WhatsApp. On June 1, he called her into his office and reportedly attempted to rape her.
He also warned her of severe consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone.
After filing the case, law enforcement promptly apprehended the accused and launched an investigation. Authorities are looking into the evidence, including WhatsApp communications, to confirm the victim's allegation.
