Many animals were killed as flames engulfed Peshawar's cattle market at the Chargano Chowk located at Shami road, according to Aaj News.
Talking to the channel's reporter, the owner of the farm said he was at his home when he was told about the fire at the market.
When he rushed there, he saw the market in flames. He later discovered the loss of several livestock and significant damage to the market.
The man said that he had estimated his loss to be around Rs1.6 million, saying he had no idea as to how he would make up for it, with the cattle market burned.
The owner maintained that he had 26 of his family members relying on the cattle market burned.

"I am now sitting at the deserted market, on its ashes," he said as he lamented his loss due to the violent protests.
Riots broke out in multiple cities as PTI workers engaged in scuffles with law enforcers after Imran Khan's arrest from the Islamabad High Court premises on Tuesday (May 9).
The party called for protests shortly after the arrest, with people taking to the streets and thoroughfares blocked.
Besides Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, riots were also reported from Peshawar, Multan, Hyderabad, and Quetta. Section 144 was put in place in Peshawar and Lahore to contain the unrest.
Online services, such as Twitter and WhatsApp also suffered outages in multiple parts of the city.
Khan was arrested by Rangers in the Al-Qadir Trust case, by a heavy force of the paramilitary personnel from the premises of the courtroom where he had appeared to secure pre-arrest bail in multiple FIRs registered against him.
