The warrants were issued by ATC Judge Abul Hasnat during the hearing in which Imran Khan’s lawyer appeared before the court. The lawyer filed an exemption plea at the beginning of the hearing, stating his client’s requirement to appear before the Lahore High Court.
Judge ATC Abul Hasnat stressed the significance of the PTI Chairman's participation in the ongoing proceedings by remarking that he would be compelled to appear before the court.
In connection with the judicial complex attack case, arrest warrants were also issued for key PTI leaders Farrukh Habib, Shibli Faraz, and Hassan Niazi.
The hearing of the case was postponed until July 19 after the court demanded that all defendants, including Chairman Imran Khan, physically attend to defend themselves against the accusations made against them.
It is important to note that two cases were filed against the ousted premier and other party leaders at Ramna Police Station and one at Golra Police Station, alleging that they led crowds that incited people to injure and vandalize public property inside the Judicial Complex.
