Hasan and Hussain Nawaz, sons of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, have arrived in Lahore following the suspension of their arrest warrants by an accountability court.

According to reports, Nawaz welcomed his sons at the Jati Umrah mansion upon their arrival.

Last Monday, an accountability court suspended the arrest warrants for Hasan and Hussain in the Al-Azizia, Flagship, and Avenfield cases.

Nasir Javed Rana, a judge of the accountability court, announced the ruling in a verdict reserved earlier today. According to the judgment, the warrants have been suspended until March 14.

Seven years ago, the court issued warrants for Hasan and Hussain after declaring them absconders.

Earlier, the brother's lawyer, Qazi Misbah, submitted a petition seeking the suspension of the arrest warrants, since both brothers intended to return to Pakistan on March 12.

The lawyer revealed the development during the hearing of the Toshakhana reference filed against Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, and former premier Yusuf Raza Gilani, in which the politicians are accused of keeping various vehicles in violation of Toshakhana rules.

According to Arif, a NAB prosecutor, the accused should appear in court as required by law. "They will have to appear, as without it, the warrant of arrest cannot be suspended," he added.
