International terrorist organization Al-Qaeda has demanded to bring Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Nupur Sharma to 'justice' for making blasphemous remarks about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in June.

The Al-Qaeda issued this call for revenge in it's Indian mouthpiece, Nawa-e-Ghawa-e-Hind, where the details of Sharma's blasphemy were listed, along with a demand for Sharma to be brought to justice over her statements, according to the Indian news agency Times Of India

Indian intelligence agencies have been increasingly worried about the safety of the former BJP leader, who was removed from her position in the party after the Muslim world condemned the BJP for its bigotry.

Previously in July, a Pakistani man was arrested at the Rajasthan border for hatching a plot to kill Nupur Sharma for her blasphemous statements. The 24-year-old man was identified as Ashraf Rizvi, and was allegedly a member of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).

Earlier in June, two Muslim men in Udaipur murdered a Hindu tailor over a social media post of his supporting Nupur Sharma’s blasphemous comments. The two men entered the tailor’s shop as customers and grabbed to behead him with a knife.

Also in June, the Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) had issued a statement through its mouthpiece As-Sahab, threatening to 'blow themselves up' in Delhi, Gujarat, Mumbai, and Uttar Pradesh. AQIS chief Asim Umar, who is also from Uttar Pradesh, asked in a video message if there was anyone who was ready to sacrifice their life for the honor of the Prophet (PBUH).
