Coke Studio 14 released its first song of the season, 'Tu Jhoom,' a soulful duet between Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal, and fans online can barely contain themselves.
In the music video release for “Tu Jhoom”, written by Adnan Dhool and composed and co-produced by Zulfiqar “Xulfi” Jabbar Khan, the two iconic singers sit across from each other, accompanied by a vast array of musical instruments including a synthesiser, bass, drums, tabla, acoustic guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, and an octapad.
"I believe in Abida Parveen supremacy," rallied Tiktoker Aqsa Kinjhar Leela Jamali about the 'Queen of Sufi music."

"If there's any Pakistani cultural output that deserves to be accessible to a wider audience, it's this," wrote Ammar Rahsid, calling on Coke studios to caption the lyrics so that more people across the world could understand the song.

But the lack of captions did not stop Shaneira Akram, who is married to cricket star Wasim Akram, from 'crying her eyes out' for 25 minutes upon hearing the song even though she had 'no idea' what the song was about.

Singer Hadiqa Kiana felt a deep resonance with the 'absolutely breathtaking' song, as did many other viewers, who called the duet 'predictably brilliant', 'sublime,' and 'magical.'
