Severely criticising the government’s performance, he added that the authorities appeared to be failing in addressing issues of public concern and that the executive was mocking the public by hyping non-issues while ignoring real concerns of the people. He went on to warn the government that the current situation could deteriorate further if immediate relief was not provided to the public.

PML-Q’s parliamentary party also voiced concerns over the various economic crisis gripping the country. In a meeting presided over by Pervez Elahi, senior leaders, including Federal Ministers Tariq Bashir Cheema and Moonis Elahi, discussed matters of public concern that included rising inflation and petrol prices, the depreciating exchange rate, and the emerging energy crisis.
The participants of the meeting further said that it was becoming difficult for elected representatives to face voters in their constituencies due to the apprehensions of the latter. Members empowered Elahi to decide the fate of the party’s status in the ruling collation.
In another similar development, the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) also raised concerns with the government about its demands for Sindh, including electoral reforms to curb rigging.
