The rental vehicle used by the accused in the gang-rape of an 18-year-old woman on motorway near Gojra has been confiscated by the police.
On Monday, a rape case was registered on the complaint of the victim's aunt. Following the FIR, two accused including the prime suspect were arrested by the police.
The police have now said that they have seized the vehicle used in the gang-rape. According to the police, the young woman from Toba Tek Singh was lured by the suspects on the pretext of a job in a boutique in Gojra. The woman was raped in a car on the motorway and the suspects fled after throwing her at the Faisalabad Interchange.
Police say the suspects have been taken into custody.
According to the FIR, the survivor’s aunt said that the 18-year-old girl received a message on a mobile phone for a job interview in the city. She said that when they reached there, the suspects took the young woman with them in a car and later raped her on the motorway.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Inspector-General Rao Sardar Ali also took notice of the incident.
