Flesh was torn, and blood was oozing from the wounds. A sharp weapon had inflicted a cut on the back, from which blood was continuously flowing. The abdomen also had injuries" he added. Dr Abdul Hameed Mughal, who was also part of the medical team spoke to the media and confirmed the multiple torture marks on various parts of his body. " He was mercilessly tortured before his body was burnt" Dr Mughal added.
Latif Akash Ansari, the adopted son of Dr Akash, gave contradictory statements to different media channels and journalists which created doubts among the minds of his relatives and friends, who also suspected his alleged involvement in the murer case.
Latif Akash Ansari, adopted son of Dr. Akash Ansari, speaking to the media said " some friends and companions used to come to my father, I also went out with friends at night. I returned between 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM, and my father was sitting with his friends. I was home for 2-3 hours. Everything was fine. The driver was also asleep. "I went out again at night and returned between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM. Everything was normal. The room’s light was also working normally. I fell asleep around 6:30 AM" After that, I woke up around 8:30 AM or 9:00 AM in the morning, and I felt the smell of smoke. I went out normally, thinking to see where the fire was, maybe it was an electrical issue because there are a lot of electronic appliances in our house.
I saw smoke coming out of the holes under the door of my father’s room, and there was a fire inside. The door was locked from the inside.
I got worried, called the servant, and called other relatives. Some people arrived. I moved forward with a quilt, but the fire engulfed everything. My feet have also been burnt. He went to claim that the door was locked, and the key to the door was with the driver, who was in the car. The driver took out the key and opened the door, and there were flames of fire inside. There were fewer flames on my father’s side, but more fire on the other side. He further said that the house was rented, the family is rarely here, and my father also comes sometimes, but the room key was always with my father.” Dr. Akash’s wife, while giving her statement to the media, said that she suspected foul play. If it had been a fire, even if someone was asleep, he would have woken up. It seems something happened to him first.
The close friend of Dr Ansar and a known writer Professor Abdullah Mallah, speaking to media persons claimed that a year ago, a person had tried to kill Dr Akash with a pistol in his house, whom the Badin police had arrested, but Akash had forgiven him. After that, recently the same person stole Rs 4 million from Dr Ansari's account by getting and forging the password of Akash’s ATM from his account. He went on to claim an FIR was registered against him in light of the CCTV footage and that a family member was arrested, who had confessed his crime. " The same family member was present in the next room last night. He had hatred against Dr. Akash and also greed for money and Akash’s property. Therefore, Akash’s death should be investigated because many of the family members and all their friends living in Sindh suspect and believe that Dr. Akash was killed and then deliberately set fire to the scene of the incident to destroy the evidence" Mallah added.Thousands of the people from different areas of Sindh and beyond gathered in Badin town to take part in the funeral prayers and other rituals of Dr Ansarri. He was laid to rest in Shaikh Umar graveyard as per his will.
