In a video message released on Twitter, the PM said that this month was full of blessings because the Prophet (PBUH) came to this world. He further said that the Prophet (PBUH) was given the title of Rehmatul lil Alameen (a mercy for the worlds) because he united all peoples of the world.
"Our Prophet (PBUH) was the greatest leader of the world and the speciality of a leader is that he brings people together," he said.
He urged the public to participate in the celebrations. "We should celebrate the day as it has never been celebrated before in the country's history," he added.

Earlier on Thursday, President Arif Alvi issued an ordinance pertaining to the formation of a Rehmatul lil Alameen Authority. The authority is a brainchild of the prime minister, and he has packaged this step as an effort towards implementing his idea for 'Riasat-e-Medina'. Prime Minister Imran Khan will act as patron-in-chief of the authority, as per the ordinance.
