The legal fraternity of Quetta and families rejoiced after two lawyers, Advocate Fida Dashti and Advocate Salaudin Mengal, returned after having gone last week.
The two lawyers had been reported as missing at midnight on September 12.
The disappearance of the two advocates had sent shock waves through Quetta's legal community, with many expressing fears for their safety.
Their families said they returned home on September 14, but little was known about where they went or if someone had abducted them and for what purpose.
As news of their disappearance spread, the Quetta Bar Association and the Balochistan Bar Council expressed their concerns over the security situation for lawyers. In a press conference, representatives of the two bodies had demanded their safe release.
Advocate Fida and Advocate Salaudin are respected members of Quetta's legal community and have been practising law for several years.
