“This clip is embarrassing wherein a minion of Imran Khan is involved,” he said while addressing a presser on Thursday.
He was apparently referring to Parvez Elahi, the other person believed to be a part of the conversation in the leak.
In the clip, the duo could be heard discussing ongoing SC cases, including the one that involved former CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar.
The minister told media persons that he didn't want to reveal the identity 'of the judge' as forensics are still awaited.
“How courageously he [Elahi] was managing Pakistan's top court," he said. "I will request the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of this.”
The PMLN leader also said that he had directed the FIA to conduct forensics of the clips and then arrest the former chief minister for an interrogation.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Bar Council has called upon the Chief Justice to conduct a “thorough” probe into the matter. In a statement, the council's representatives stressed a “thorough scrutiny and investigation with regard to the audio viral on social media. They asked the learned judge to fix a case over the development before a bench or assign an honourable judge of the court to oversee the matter.
He also referred to the earlier video leak controversy involving former accountability court judge Arshad Malik.
In the video, the former judge was heard telling an aide to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif about how he was “blackmailed and pressured” to convict the former premier.
Sanaullah recalled that no action was taken to the development, saying it was the reason why Elahi was now "managing the country's top court".
