Narowal police have arrested former Union Council (UC) Chairman Tauqeer Afzal for allegedly planning a 'suicide attack' and firing at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Rana Mannan, who is contesting elections from the PP-56 constituency.
Police filed the case against Tauqeer and arrested him after a purported phone call audio went viral on social media, in which the accused was allegedly directing the attacker to target PML-N’s candidate, Rana Mannan.
