It's time for the state to deal proportionally with the terror tactics of the PTI, Maryam Nawaz said on podcast with Mansoor Ali Khan.

"Pakistan is facing the worst chaos of its history in the shape of the PTI," she said during an interview with anchorperson Mansoor Ali Khan.

The workers of this party are challenging the state with terrorism, and so the state should deal with them as it does in case of the outlawed and terror outfits, she added.

When reminded that PTI has a strong following among the masses, she said, "No political party has ever stocked and used petrol bombs on security forces in the country's 76-year history."

"The use of petrol bombs is the construct of militias and militants; if this isn't anarchy, what is," she asked.

To a question about the cases against Nawaz Sharif, Maryam said it was because of both the judges and the generals, adding that their remnants still exist.

To another question whether the PML-N takes security threats to Imran seriously, she reiterated that the PTI chief would only fell ill when he is to appear before a court, not when he is to lead a rally.

Mansoor Ali Khan asked Maryam if she thought she deserved to become the chief organiser of PML-N, questioning the distribution of posts in the ruling party.

"The workers, supporters, and voters of the party put their trust in me and the party acknowledged it."

It all depends on an individual and the final endorsement comes from the people of the country," she maintained.

She denied that former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was upset with the party cadre over some issues.

"It is a sign of democracy within PML-N that he can express his opinion as he wishes to," she said when asked as to why Abbasi and the party had different opinions on the PTI chief's arrest.

One thing that everyone in the party has absolute consensus on is Nawaz Sharif's leadership, she added.
