We've all been there: we want freshly baked cookies, but don't want to submit ourselves to the torture of knowing there are 24 warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies waiting in the kitchen. No one likes a glutton, and sometimes, a warm cookie is all it takes to unleash your inner gluttony. This recipe is perfect for when you want just one single chocolate chip cookie. It's a perfect one-time dessert, and it whips up in no time as well. Here we go:
Ingredients:
Method:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 tsp oil or butter.
- 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp baking powder or bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tbsp + 2 tsp flour
- As many chocolate chips as your little heart desires
Method:
Put the oil or butter and the sugar into a small oven proof dish or ramekin, and let the butter melt if needed. Mix together, almost creaming the ingredients like you would with a regular batch of cookies. Next, add the salt, baking powder, and flour and mix those in as well till a dough forms. Smooth out the dough in the dish and scatter over the chocolate chips, pressing them in slightly. Sprinkle on a small pinch of salt and bake for 7-10 minutes, until golden brown but still squidgy in the centre. Eat while still warm.
