It is famous host and television personality Kamran Shahid's debut film as a writer and director. Kamran's father Shahid is a vetern actor.
In a television show, renowned political analyst, Irshad Bhatti called it a 'trend-setting move' by Kamran Shahid while Mujeeb ur Rahman Shami also praised the storyline of the movie.
Kamran has written and directed the story keeping in view the actual series of events that occurred during the war of 1971 to educate the young generation about the real facts connected with the unfortunate incident of 'Dacca Fall" and the hidden conspiracies hatched by the then-Indian Government to splinter Pakistan.
The cast of this historic movie is a combination of stalwart and young actors including Shahid, Sohail Ahmed Azizi, Mikal Zulfiqar, Mahmood Aslam Shafqat Cheema, Samina Pirzada, Ayesha Umer, Shamoon Abbasi, Alyy Khan, and Sadia Khan.
The film is being distributed by Mandviwalla Entertainment in Pakistan and FM Radio has been made its media partner. The film shows the emergence of Mukti-Bani under the joined
collaboration of Sheikh Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Indra Ghandi.
Both the roles in the movie are being played by prolific actors of Lollywood Mahmood Aslam who is often seen in comic roles and Samina Pirzada.
Besides political events, the movie also features the love story of a young soldier of the rebellion group and a girl named Zeenat. Adnan Gilani son of an eminent television personality known for his work in the television play Riyasat would be appearing as Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto probably the most discussed politician of this country after independence.
Though the story is all about politics and romance, the writer has also inserted a comic character by the name of Khannum Jahan featuring iconic Pakistani comedian and impersonator Sohail Ahmed aka Azizi who has vast experience of playing such characters both in theater and on television.
Since both son and father are illustrious media personalities their work has already grabbed the attention of the general public as well as media analysts. The movie will be in cinemas on Eid-ul-Fitr.
