A 12 year-old-boy has allegedly been subjected to sexual assault by three assailants over several days in Jati town of Sujawal District in Sindh, it emerged on Monday.

The matter came to light after the victim's family held a press conference at their home, demanding justice.

The boy's father stated that around five days ago, the boy had stepped out of the house to buy some edibles from a nearby bakery when he was allegedly abducted.

The frantic efforts of his family to find him went in vain until the third grader was found five days later on Sunday in a precarious condition.

During the press conference, the boy accused three men of abducting him.

"They took me on a motorcycle to a desolate place where they subjected me to sexual assault over four days," the boy said in between inconsolable crying.

He accused Sameer Qureshi, Abdullah  Qureshi and Ali Muhammad Qureshi of abducting and sexually assaulting him.

The boy's father said that some locals found the boy in a semi-conscious state on the Baranabad - Jati road and brought the boy back.

"As soon as my son regained consciousness, he narrated to me the inhuman behaviour meted out to him by the accused," he said, adding that the suspects belong to the influential Qureshi family, who are custodians of a famous shrine in Sujawal.

He added that his son was still writhing in severe pain while falling in and out of consciousness following the trauma he had faced.

The boy's parents said they had approached the police to lodge a First Information Report (FIR), but no FIR had been registered until the filing of this report.

When contacted, Sujawal SSP Shehla Qureshi said she was in contact with the victim's family to ensure the swift provision of justice.
