Bill’s behest

There was a time when RM 007 was a big mover and shaker in the late lamented Big Ben’s party. He’d tied up the entire Jiyalas’ overseas network – and given himself charge of it, with a nod from Hubby. Well, young Bill’s having none of it, we hear. Hot on the heels of change amongst those who have Sinned, at Bill’s behest, our mole says RM 007 is also for the chop. Bill’s apparently taken charge of the overseas jiyalas, and means to appoint someone more in line with his own vision.

This long, hot summer

While many affluent Pakistanis are in London, a number of Brit-Paks have taken their families off to ye olde motherland. We hear The Man of Steel’s younger son, wife and kids are in Lahore from London, and are spending the monsoon with their recuperating pater. Spotted in London recently was The Great Khan’s Lahore stalwart, AK en famille, whereas his Glaswegian partisan (for whom it’s truly become a Sour War) has taken his family off to Pakistan. Sour War is so cheesed off with his leader that he’s been talking openly about his “confounding style” of decision-making. The Khan’s has lost many good people in this manner. One loss was a well-regarded politician of yore, from KP’s respected Gilani family. Back in the day, this gent asked The Khan’s international civil servant sister to get him an appointment with her bro. She did so, and when Mr G met The Khan, he spoke glowingly of his sister and said that he held her in respect. Apparently, The Khan disapproved and said that he didn’t care for “strangers talking about his sisters”. Mr G, having spent the better part of his political life in the liberal fraternity of Big Ben and her father before her, was appalled at this regressive statement. One of the reasons he cited for parting ways was that he wasn’t up to dampening down his intrinsic liberalism to please his leader.
