The United Arab Emirates, the country that offered the most recent version, asked for a postponement of the vote on Monday to continue with the intricate talks. It is currently anticipated that the vote will take place on Tuesday.
To permit "safe and unhindered humanitarian access" into the beleaguered Palestinian enclave, the proposal demanded an "urgent and sustainable cessation of hostilities" in Gaza.
The wait time implies that UN envoys have not yet agreed on the vote.
The Security Council resolution was drafted by the Arab nations, even though its future is still unknown, in light of the worldwide support shown for the Gaza truce last Tuesday in the General Assembly.
According to AFP, the draft "stresses the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority" and reiterates support for a two-state solution in the region.
Without mentioning Hamas, the draft calls for the unconditional and immediate release of all prisoners and denounces "violence and hostilities against civilians, as well as acts of terrorism."
