As political parties are striving hard to grab the maximum number of independent candidates to form their government, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has succeeded in getting the support of seven independent candidates who won seats for the National Assembly and 21 independent candidates who emerged victorious on provincial assemblies’ seats.
According to data, there are seven independent members of the National Assembly (MNA), which include Muhammad Idrees from NA-1 Kohistan, Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz from NA-48 Islamabad, Aqeel Malik from NA-54 Rawalpindi, Rasheed Akbar Niwani from NA-92 Bhakkar, Waseem Qadir from NA-121 Lahore, Raza Hayat Harraj from NA-144 Khanewal, and Sardar Shamsher Mazari from NA-189 Rajanpur.
On the other hand, 20 independent candidates from Punjab have joined the PMl-N, which includes Khurram Virk from PP-48 Sialkot, Muhammad Fiaz from PP-49 Sialkot, Ahmad Nawaz Nawani from PP-90 Bhakkar, Amir Anayat Shahani from PP-92 and PP-93 Bhakkar, Taimoor Lali from PP-94 Chiniot, Zulfiqar Ali Shah from PP-96 Chiniot, Saqib Khan Chadhar from PP-97 Chiniot, SultanBajwa from PP-132 Nankana, Imran Akram from PP-195 Pakpattan, Akber Hayat Haraj from PP-205 Khanewal, Asghar Hayat Haraj from PP-212 Khanewal, Shazia Hayyat from PP-225 Lodhran, Muhammad Sohail Khan PP-240 Bahawalnagar, Kashif Naveed from PP-242 Bahawalnagar, Sahibzada M. Gazain Abbasi from PP-249 Bahawalpur, Rana Abdul Mannan from PP-272 Muzaffargarh, Ghulam Asghar Khan from PP-283 Layyah, Muhammad Hanif Patafi from PP-288 D.G. Khan, Mehmood Qadir Leghari from PP-289 D.G. Khan, and Khizzar Hussain Mazari from PP-297 Rajanpur.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hisham Inamullah Khan from PK-106 Lakki Marwat has joined the PML-N.
